Date of Adi Sankara

Date of Adi Sankara

By janamejayan
I came across an article by one Vidyasankar virulently attacking Paramacharya and Jayendra Saraswathi of Kanchi Matam saying that the Kanchi Matam has no history beyond the middle of the 19th Century. He also came up to uphold the secularist liars of our history, in this instance contending that Adi Sankara was born in the year 788 AD. I also found that this guy Vidyasankar became the sweetheart of the anti-Hindu barbarians who style themselves as the tail bearers of a venomous anti-Brahmin called E.V.Ramaswamy Naicker. Actually they were all Hindus holding Christianity and its lies in esteem! They are the ones who are giving great publicity toVidyasankar’s tirade against Kanchi Matam.
This gentleman Vidyasankar must have lot of influence with Sringeri Matam for they changed their origin from a date of 44 B.C to 788 A.D. instead of admitting they lost track of their Guru Parampara. And Vidyasankar whose object is to denigrate Kanchi Matam ignores the fact that the other Sankara Peetams in the North have all in unison said that the date of Adi Sankara was 509 B.C. This is because he could not call them also fake!
I did some research on the date and among the so many materials I sifted through the following two are worth reading.
It conclusively states the original Sankaracharya was born in the year 509 B.C. at Kaladi, Kerala and died in 477 BC at Kanchi. There was a second Sankaracharya of the 8th Century AD called Abhinava Sankaracharya who was born actually in Chidambaram and he died at Kedarnath. (It seems he too was a Sankaracharya of Kanchi Peetam but the detractors wouldn’t admit it because they have to say that Kanchi Peetam has no history!) He is the one being touted as the original Sankaracharya by Vidyasankar. Because he wants to call Kanchi Mutt as fake he wishes to ignore that Adi Sankara passed away in Kanchi. So the need to bring in the second Sankara as the original one!

THE GREAT MYSTERY BEHIND NOT AGREEING THE FACT THAT SHANKARA DIED AT KANCHI ISNOT KNOWN TO ANYBODY.DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT GURUPEETHAM IS? IF ANYBODY KNOWS WHAT IT IS THEN IF THEY AGREE THE FACT THAT SHANKARA DIED AT KANCHI ONE HAS TO TREAT KANCHI PEETHAM AS MAIN GURUPEETHAM. TO ANY SHISHYAS THE GURU SAMADHI PLACE IS OF MORE SANCTITY THAN ANY MONASTERY ESTABLISHED BY SHANKARA
